Always on the Lookout for a Good Cause
Community Service is about a whole
range of activities which Round Table and Tablers contribute to. This
covers everything from the obvious, "What we do with the money we
raise," to helping out at Fayre days, organising speakers
evenings, going on outside visits... for the benefit of Tablers and non-Tablers
alike. Of course, the time and commitment taken to organise and operate
the collection via the Santa's Sleigh is a big one and the sleigh run in itself
is a great piece of Community Service.
No matter how diverse the
activities, the biggest, most visible, part for our Community Service is the
donation of charitable funds raised. The PR & Media
page gives a detailed account of donations in the current Table Year or so and
the Archives pages give some information from further
back.
The emphasis is local and we try to attract as diverse
a range of causes as we can. We are always on the lookout for a good
cause.
